PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet (Garden Course)
About
Beautifully-landscaped 18-hole course that routes through attractive natural wetlands
One of two excellent 18-hole golf courses found within an expansive 1,000-hectare integrated resort complex on the southern coast of Vietnam, adjacent to the East Sea, the Garden Course at PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet is a meticulously landscaped parkland-style design that showcases seamlessly integrated bunkers along the fringes of the verdant green complexes. Routing through native wetlands characterised by numerous lakes and streams, the Zeon Zoysia fairways provide a luxurious surface where golf balls sit up invitingly on a bed of fine, needle-like blades.
An outstanding characteristic of this course is the meandering stream that traverses numerous holes on the front nine, captivating the eye while also serving as a formidable challenge. As the course progresses, a gentle elevation shift commences at the tenth hole, gradually ascending to reveal breathtaking panoramic vistas overlooking Phan Thiet Bay before gracefully descending to sea level, culminating with the dramatic final hole.
The fourteenth hole claims the spotlight as the signature gem – an extraordinary par-3 masterpiece that descends gracefully over the shimmering water, featuring a three-tiered green. The middle-lower tier, adorned with a beckoning flag, tempts golfers with the promise of birdie glory. A colossal bunker demarcates the upper tiers, where pin placements require skillful execution for a respectable par.
The amenities at PGA Novaworld Phan Thiet are excellent, including a 325-yard driving range, short game practice areas, and an 18-hole putting course. Additionally, a myriad of gastronomic delights await at numerous F&B outlets, while two of Vietnam's finest on-course kiosks offer sustenance and refreshment. The well-appointed pro shop caters to discerning golfers, and lavish changing rooms elevate the experience.
Reviews
Great New Course
I must applaud the developers for their work here. The course layout is truly impressive, and the grass was in excellent condition. My caddie was quite helpful, although somewhat inexperienced. Given that the course is relatively new, I understand they're also learning the ropes. Compared to other courses I've played in Saigon, the difficulty level here was slightly lower, but it still provided a satisfying challenge for me. The trees scattered throughout the course are still in their early stages of growth, but I anticipate that they will mature beautifully in the coming years.Course Info
